Content management - what is it?
A CMS or Content Management System is simply a website which allows remote access from any computer in order to facilitate updates to the content. The website administrator would be able log in using a username and password and this allows the website content to be modified without having to use built in web design software and allows anyone with access to make changes to the website.
This can be especially useful when frequent changes and updates to the website are required and it allows anyone with access to update the website without any knowlege of web design.
